HYPNOSIS AS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL TO OVERCOME NICOTINE ADDICTION

As a hypnotist and somebody who has struggled with nicotine and smoking addiction, I truly understand the power of leaving destructive habits behind by harnessing the effectiveness and power of hypnosis.  Personally, I was able to stop smoking with hypnosis in merely one session.  Years ago, before I was certified and licensed to have my own practice in this amazing field of growth, I was floored by how easily I was able to stop smoking with hypnosis.

As I sit here, I think about those who would like to stop smoking with hypnosis, yet are skeptical.  Maybe some have made many attempts on their own, yet have fallen short.  Unfortunately, the grip of nicotine and cigarettes, tobacco chew, and vapes, can hold on with a tight grip.  So tightly that many find themselves in despair, lacking any hope for breaking the chains.  As someone who personally was easily able to stop smoking with hypnosis, and has forwarded that gift to thousands of clients, I am here to say there is hope.

Hypnosis is an effective tool to quit smoking because it allows for a change in the programming of the subconscious mind.  Deep within that inner part of the smoker's mind, hypnosis can alter and shift beliefs about oneself, shift and upgrade destructive habits, and create a positive new healthy identity as a non-smoker.  No willpower, no crutches such as patches or gum, just simply change.

WHY YOU SMOKE - AN EFFECTIVE SHORT TERM STRATEGY

Smoking is a problem that exists in every culture.  According to The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, 500,000 thousand people die annually in the United States alone from this deadly habit.

My job as a hypnotist when working with my smoking clients is to cut through the bull.  It is important to be as transparent and real with those who want to stop smoking with hypnosis.  What does this entail?  Educating clients about why they smoke in the first place, and giving them some surprising information about the habit, and themselves.

You see, many believe that they smoke because they are weak, “have an addictive personality”, or because they hate themselves.  I am here to say that none of those are true.  In fact, the real reason you, the reader may have been a smoker your entire adult life is that you love yourself.

That’s right!

Smoking is an attempt for the smoker to simply feel good. Smoking has nothing to do with weakness or self-loathing, and everything to do with self-love and soothing.

Often times when I relay this message to my clients, their eyes widen and clear, and that moment is the first giant step on the exciting healthy journey and the final result, of stopping smoking with hypnotherapy servicesthermore, smoking is an effective strategy to feel good, at least in the short term.  Which is why many find it so difficult to quit on their own.  Smoking aids in relaxation and provides a break, reduces stress and cortisol, as well as increases dopamine and serotonin responses in the brain.  Again, in the short term, this is an effective strategy, which is why many find it so difficult to quit.

However, the true definition of health can be defined as an activity that is beneficial for us in the short term, as well as the long term.  For example, 30 minutes of vigorous exercise increases our mood for the day and extends our life span keeping our bodies thriving long-term.  That is health.

HOW A SMOKER IS FORMED

As a hypnotist, even before someone comes into my office for a consultation to stop smoking with hypnosis, I already know with a 99% degree of accuracy when and why this deadly habit first began.

More times than not, smokers begin their nicotine journey in adolescence.  At the ages of thirteen through sixteen, while youngsters are first branching out and attempting to fit in and forge common social bonds, many simply pick up the habit as a means of fitting in.  I know it seems cliched, yet it’s true.

These are the years when young people first leave behind the protective veil of their parents in terms of getting everything they need emotionally, and step out into the world and seek connection from their community.  This attempt at socializing for everybody is daunting.  Remember, this is the first time they have had to attempt such a feat.  Also, those with which they are attempting to connect and pair, are also giving it a shot for the first time.  It’s simple to say, mistakes in coping and exceeding are made.

For a teenager, smoking looks cool.  It’s a simple way to not only feel empowered but to fit in as well.  Furthermore, the cigarettes become a strategy early on for dealing with uncertainty, stress, and rejection.  The problem is, this strategy becomes hard-wired as a mechanism for maneuvering through life, especially since it works short term.

THE ADULT SMOKER - TWO PARTS

When clients visit my office with the expectation to stop smoking with hypnosis, they are given tools and information that they wouldn't expect.  I pride myself in educating them leading to enhanced self-awareness.

What most don’t understand when attempting to stop smoking with hypnosis, is that there are actually two different parts to them.

First, the wise ‘conscious’ part of them that knows they should quit smoking.  As well as the part of them that continues to smoke.  If a client knows smoking is detrimental, realizes the habit is disgusting, and understands that quitting may be the best decision they can make, then why can’t they just stop?

The smoking “part” has a grip and a strong voice.  That part exists at the subconscious level, and the subconscious holds all programming for identity, beliefs, thought patterns, as well as habits.  In order to stop smoking with hypnosis, that uninformed influence must be spoken to and given new proper directions for health.  A new identity, and new instructions on how to cope with life’s obstacles with enhanced choices.  Working with the subconscious at the deepest levels is the main reason why clients are able to stop smoking with hypnosis.

THE TRUTH ABOUT NICOTINE

Many are disillusioned when it comes to the why and the how with regard to the stop smoking with hypnosis journey.   Oftentimes, clients believe the reason they are not able to stop smoking is that the grip of nicotine has a stronghold.

I am here to say, this is absolutely not the case.

The truth is that nicotine is very addictive, there is no doubt about it.  However, cravings for nicotine leave the body somewhere between twenty-four and thirty-six hours.  That’s it.

For a smoker attempting to quit on their own, as opposed to attempting to stop smoking with hypnosis, some are able to push through the initial nicotine swings.  However, give it enough time and a cigarette is picked up once again, even with the physical need for nicotine absent.

So how can this be?  If nicotine is not present, and the body doesn’t want it, then why cigarettes?  If the subconscious mind has yet to be addressed, and the potential client has yet to seek out means to stop smoking with hypnosis, that old crutch makes its way to the surface, and one more failed attempt can be added to the list.

Fortunately for my clients, I provide relief in the face of nicotine cravings.  I have personally crafted a system that I call “the craving destroyer”.   Without going into too much detail, when the body attempts to feel that urge, the mind and body shift to a far more beneficial emotional state, squashing that craving from existence.  Just one more reason why clients are easily able to stop smoking with hypnosis.

THE MOST SUCCESSFUL CLIENTS

As a hypnotist who easily allows clients to stop smoking with hypnosis, I visit with all types of potential suitors for the healing process.  Many are ready, some think they are ready, and others just plain old aren’t ready.

Those that are not ready are often sent by a loved one.  A spouse would like them to stop smoking with hypnosis.  They care about them, and want them healthy and thriving for as long as possible.  In this situation, often times the client of course would love to stop smoking also.  However, they are simply merely interested in the stop smoking with hypnosis process.  I turn these clients away with zero apprehension.

The most successful clients who are able to stop smoking with hypnosis, are the ones that are simply tired of it.  Over it.  Done.  Can't stand it and never want to go back.

I want a prospective candidate for hypnosis to look at that cigarette and think “I’m tired of you running my life, I can't stand you, and I am saying goodbye!”

In other words, the client has to truly, and finally be ready to move on from that lifelong misguided friend.

Those clients that find themselves in that empowered state of determination and focus are instantly able to stop smoking with hypnosis, once and for all.
